Insecurity

In our society today we feel as if we are expected to look PERFECT. Our bodies have to be a certain size, we have to have a certain personality to be accepted and we need a certain type of career to be respected. These are issues that many people continue to face each and every single day.  Insecurity with one self can effect an individual in a very drastic way.

It can even cause depression because they might always feel as if they are never good enough. Here is my word of advice. No one is perfect and no one will ever be perfect. We all look and think differently for a reason. There will always be someone better than you at something or they might have more of something than you do. This is the reality! However, you may also have something that they don't or are better at something that they are not. Take a step back from what society "expects" of people and look in the mirror. Look at yourself and choose the things you like about yourself, appearance wise. Then sit down and analyze all the good qualities you have as an individual. Everyone is good at something and everyone has something great to offer.

Do not put yourself down because you think you aren't like everyone else. You're not supposed to be like everyone else you are your own person. You can achieve in anything you want to achieve in by being YOURSELF.  I will not lie and say that I have never felt insecure about myself because I have. There have been several times that I've felt insecure about my body because it isn't toned up like all these others girls I may see. However, I look at it now and I'm happy with my body. So what if I have a little tummy and it isn't toned up with abs. (But if it gets to be too much I will workout, not going to lie haha). So what if my chest isn't a size C cup. Oh well! There are so many individuals especially in the entertainment industry that highly believe in plastic surgery to "fix" or "enhance" certain body parts. That's fine if they want to do that with their bodies, but that doesn't mean you have to do that to yours to make yourself look like the IDEAL individual.  Think of it this way; there is someone out there that will fall in love with the person you are today, without plastic surgery or pretending to be someone you're not. I know that it is difficult a lot of times especially because of society, but don't be like many other individuals.  Be unique and be happy with yourself. Love yourself; flaws and all.

  1. I think a lot of people male and female need some encouraging words like this in their life. I don't think enough people take the time to reflect on what makes them, them. I also think that sometimes find this hard to accomplish because television portrays a particular image being accepted in our "society" and if you don't meet that standard, well acceptance isn't what you'll gain.
